With so many music conferences out there, it’s tough to gauge which ones are the really worth it. Here are some upcoming bets:
Digital Hollywood, Fall 2012 Oct 15-18 2012. Ritz Carlton Hotel, Marina De Rey, CA
This is massive, packed with seminars, think tanks, you name it. Many movers and shakers here.
CMJ Music Marathon Oct 16-20 2012. NYC
If your band is indie, than this conference is all you. However, it’s much more than just college radio. Some great panelist sessions, and of course, tremendous talent.
Billboard Film and TV Music Conference Oct 24, 25 2012. West Hollywood, CA
Want to meet the top music licensing folks? Here’s your chance. Might be a bit pricey, but may be worth it if you have finished masters ready to pitch. And bonus…Christina Aguilera will be one of the speakers.

I just attended the Durango Songwriters expo in Denver and the information and exposure that was provided by industry pros was exceptional. The next expo will be in Santa Barbara the last weekend in Feb into march. The three day total immersion with like minded motivated individuals is something to experience. See you there
